about
Relax, this isn’t an anti-vax song.
On the contrary really.
Large parts of the song took shape back when our worst problem was Theo Francken going on another twitter-spree. Back when people like Jonathan Holslag couldn’t keep themselves from championing a strong military or defense budget increases because “The Russians are coming”. The whole song was a jab aimed at people living in the right’s alternate reality of mass migration problems, petty nationalism and ever looming war. Meanwhile, tacking on that last line of “if the vaccines don’t get you, it’ll be the warheads” was an ironic stab at people like John Joseph spreading faux-health hypes, feeding the fledgling anti-common sense horde.
I mean, there was no predicting the way the antivax-movement would take off in Europe like it did in the US of A. I always figured it couldn’t happen here. Europe has a better education standard, Europe is more critical of propaganda, Europe is just not plain stupid. Wrong, I guess, but it gave the whole a bitter taste and a distinct need of an explanation.
However, this little number is still directed at those living in facebook’s, in twitter’s, in instagram’s alternate reality. Willfully deaf to reason. Eyes firmly shut. Living in the fear that if it won’t be the vaccines, then it’ll be the bogeyman of the week that’s coming for them.
Don’t let ‘em do you in. Live in compassion and kindness.

Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
